Last Updated: August 2, 2026
At FreeResumePro ("we", "us", or "our"), we recognize that your privacy is paramount. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of personal information we receive and collect when you use our website, as well as how we safeguard your information.
1. Data Collection and Storage
Resume Data (Local Storage)
FreeResumePro operates primarily as a client-side application. The personal data you enter into the resume builder (including name, email, phone number, employment history, and education) is stored locally on your device using LocalStorage technology. We do not transmit, store, or process this sensitive personal data on our servers. You retain full ownership and control over your resume data.
2. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services to maintain the website and, with consent where required, analyze performance. These providers may process limited information about your visit as described below.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. Google Analytics collects non-personally identifiable information such as:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referral sources
- Page views and navigation paths
This data is aggregated and anonymized. We use it solely to improve user experience and optimize our services.
Google AdSense
We do not currently load the Google AdSense advertising script or serve Google ads. The site contains an AdSense account meta tag and an ads.txtrecord solely to verify site ownership during Google's review process. These verification records do not set advertising cookies or make an ad request.
If advertising is introduced in the future, we will update this policy and the consent controls before enabling ad serving.
3. Cookie Policy
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use cookies for the following purposes:
- Essential Cookies: Required for the site to function (e.g., maintaining your session state).
- Analytical Cookies: Used by Google Analytics to track site usage.
- Advertising Cookies: Not currently used because advertising is disabled.
4. CCPA and GDPR Compliance
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): As we do not store your resume data on our servers, we do not act as a Data Controller for that specific information. For data processed by Google Services, Google acts as the Data Processor. You have the right to disable cookies via your browser settings.
CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act): We do not currently use resume data or advertising cookies for interest-based advertising. California residents may contact us with questions about data processed by the site.
5. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
